Digital Identity & Social Networking

Online Group defines a network to create online identity awareness.

CALGARY, AB - Today, members of an online social network, Grou.ps, have gotten together to share information about digital identity. Members share videos, blogs and stories that relate to the revelation of their own digital identities. Contributors have the unique capability to ‘Facebook Connect’ and share what they like, or promote their ideas to their network or connect through Grou.ps.

Grou.ps lets you create your own social network. There are different modules to be used as many as you want. You can create your forum, mailing list, share documents, files and your agenda to organize events, have your own YouTube, share links, bookmarks, photos. You can have real time chat and you can let the users have subgroups and it's free.

In an effort to raise importance of understanding Digital Identity a local group has begun a campaign to create awareness of who we are online. Over the next while, groups from across the country and around the globe can meet online in an informal setting to share the views and opinions on the important concept of digital citizenship. Digital citizenship is becoming more and more important in our every day lives.

One question remains – If I only knew you from who you are online who would you be? Are you OK with that?
